connect

To contribute to the mourning revolution, Fréderique Vanvlasselaer designed BREATH and ASHES, two porcelain art objects that can be used to preserve the cremated ashes of a loved one.
A contemporary creation aimed at normalizing the themes of grief and loss, integrating them into our daily lives in a warmer and more personal way of saying goodbye.

ASHES

PORCELAIN AS A MEMORY

With this artwork, Fréderique Vanvlasselaer aims to create a tangible connection to what we do not want to forget. It carries stories within, protects what is dear, and helps us cherish the past while making space for the present.

It is a bearer of meaning and a symbol of enduring love.

"I hope that the symbolism of ADEM and ASHES is profound and can encourage people to talk about death, reflect on it, and make it a part of our daily lives."
