Whispers of Time Through Porcelain Light
The decoration for the lanterns is inspired from textures that arise through decay, such as layers of paint that peel off, cracks in a wall or a rotting piece of wood. The COCOONING lanterns are further characterized by their organic signature and refined finish. The organic character is reflected in the soft wavy lines and the earthy patterns.

Fréderique Vanvlasselaer
Fréderique Vanvlasselaer is a designer based in Belgium creating works in cast porcelain, a pure, earthy product that can be heated to high temperatures, creating thin, strong and translucent objects. Playing with light and shadow, form and deformations, brings Fréderique closer to the art of imperfection. This philosophy of life is strongly present in all her creations.
